Futtaru Sands is situated in a peaceful part of Gaafaru, a small local island in North Male Atoll, while the island's beautiful beach is only a short walk away. Within easy reach are local cafes, shops and the everyday life of the island, allowing guests to experience the Maldives beyond a traditional resort setting.

Gaafaru is known for its wide sandy shores, calm turquoise lagoon and the famous nearby wreck and channel dive sites, where manta rays and sea turtles are often seen. The island is compact and easy to explore on foot, and everything from the harbour to the bikini beach is only a few minutes away.

Getting here is straightforward - the island is reached from Velana International Airport (about 57 km) by speedboat or public ferry, and our team is glad to arrange a transfer for you. Dharavandhoo Airport is about 61 km away and Madivaru Airport about 80 km away.
